About the Club

Woodlands was the first Tee-Ball Club in WA and has been established for many years. It is a small family-orientated club situated in the heart of Woodlands.

Tee-Ball is a modified version of baseball. The main difference is that players hit the ball off a tee and there is no pitching. Games are limited in time and a smaller diamond is used.

The club caters for boys and girls 5-10 years (pre-primary and primary school children). There are three age groups for boys and three age groups for girls. For boys and girls, there is an Under 7's division, an Under 9's division and an Under 11's division. The game provides a lot of fun, an opportunity for rapid improvement in ball skills, hand-eye coordination and general confidence.

The season consists of 15 games played in 3 rounds, with the first two rounds running from October to December and the third round in January/February. The club competes within the Wembley Tee-Ball Association and games may be played at City Beach, Floreat, Innaloo, Balcatta or Woodlands. Games are played on Saturday mornings with Under 7 and Under 9 teams scheduled for 8:30am and Under 11 teams playing at 10:15am.

Parent participation is vital and teams cannot function properly without parental support. Each team requires a coach, an umpire, a manager and for game day parents to volunteer to score and base coach.

The Woodlands Tee Ball Club coordinates the game of Tee Ball for children comprising teams playing against each other both in the club and with other clubs in the district. The game of Tee Ball is an active sport requiring coordination and a team-based attitude to achieve a dedicated objective.
